It’s world blood cancer awareness day on May 28th…as well as raising awareness for early diagnosis it’s to highlight the need for public help through blood donations. So many of you have joined George’s fight and given blood. Last night he was breathless, severely anaemic, pale and exhausted. 3 hours later, someone had given him his life back…220ml of blood and he was charging down the corridor and asking for a Nanna casserole.
Tomorrow I am going to our local GP surgery with an early diagnosis check list and training pack to raise awareness for recognising the signs of this killer blood cancer. They can change their diagnosis and understanding on the frontline and you can give blood…regularly and you can be a hero!!
